Welcome to Galway Uke Fest, a celebration of all things ukulele in the heart of Galway. Over 4 days, from Thursday June 19th to Sunday 22nd, 2025, the city will come alive with music, workshops, and good vibes, offering something for everyone—whether you’re a seasoned player, a total beginner, or just love great live music.

Set in Galway’s Latin Quarter, West End, Eyre Square and Ukulele Strum Stops across the city it’s the perfect mix of fun, creativity, and community. So grab your uke (or just yourself!) and join us for an unforgettable festival filled with music and magic.

2025 PROGRAMME

Looking for a spot to keep the strumming going outside of scheduled events? Our designated Ukulele Safe Spaces—also known as Strum Stops—are bars and venues across Galway that are happy to welcome uke players for informal jams, spontaneous singalongs, open mic style performances or a relaxed strum. Just don’t forget to ask the bartender before you play!

If you have purchased a festival ticket then please check your inbox for more information. You can present your festival ticket at the Early Fest Hoots or at the Festival Hub 1 hour before the Thursday/Friday night concerts to receive your festival lanyard.

Due to an increase in numbers, the flashmob will become a rockin’ stroll called the Amble-lele through Galway streets. Full details and songsheet will be available by the end of this week.
Golden Uke applications are now closed. Selected candidates will receive an email the week of the festival confirming their slot.
Yes! Songbooks will be available to download on June 1st. Physical songbooks will be available to purchase for €5 at the Festival Hub.
No unfortunately we will not have a cloakroom in 2025.
Our 2025 festival is fully booked. If you are a group visiting the festival this year please contact us and we will connect you with one of our ukulele safe spaces.
